When most people get a new cell phone contract, what do they do with the old cell phone? In most ca
ses it becomes a toy for a child or a baby to play with. If thats not the case, they may end up in the trash. It is a shame that they are not aware of the financial potential for their no longer wanted phones. On the other hand, this becomes your golden opportunity! You can make money by selling refurbished AT&T cell phones. The first thing you need to do is build a supply of used cell phones. The easiest way to get started is to contact your family and friends and ask them if they still have their old phones lying around somewhere. If they do ask them if you could have them, tell them its for an experiment. The next step is to put an advertisement in the local newspaper and on craigslist asking for all used cell phones. Offer $10 for all phones that are less than three years old. Finally, check with websites and local retail locations of cell phone companies to see what deals they have on refurbished cell phones. Now that you have your cell phone inventory, you need to start researching the values for each of the phones you have. As with the nature of any business you start, you will find that a few of the phones you bought are worth less than the $10 you paid for it. This just happens with phones that are more commonly used in retailer promotions. Chances are good however that you will have several phones that are worth a whole lot more than what you paid for it. Be sure to correctly identify each phone model by the serial numbers on the battery area of the phone. One letter could be the difference between a $1 phone and a $100 phone. Now that you know what each phone you have it worth, it is time to sell your inventory. There are two recommendations for quickly getting rid of your inventory and still making a decent profit. First take all the phones that were worth less than you paid for them and put them in one basket. On paper figure out the total cost of what you paid for all the phones in your total inventory. Now go online and find a website that will buy back used cell phones and sell the phones that are worth less than what you paid for the best rate you could find. Once you have sent those phones off subtract the total of what you did get back from them from the total balance of what you paid for the whole inventory. With the phones left in you inventory, create a sellers account on eBay and sell those phones for about 80% of what everybody else on eBay is selling the same phones for. There are those that have better success rates at higher prices, but they have been there longer than you. With a new account, its best to start off with lower prices until you start building your feedback rating. When the phones are gone, count up your profits and try this process again!
